Family is not a matter of course for everyone, we help children at risk to experience a happy childhood in a family environment.
About Us
We are a non-governmental non-profit organization with activities mainly in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. Our organization was created from an initiative to support substitute family care in the Czech Republic in accordance with the goal of limiting the placement of children in institutional care.
Our main project is a foster warehouse, where we provide material assistance not only to children in substitute family care, but also to children from socially weak families.

Our warehouse is not a store! Work during the distribution days is voluntary. People who help in the warehouse – distribute, sort, do this work voluntarily, therefore without any financial reward. They give their time, work and enthusiasm to help you.
We therefore ask warehouse visitors to respect the rules, return unwanted items back to their places and to behave politely towards our volunteers.

When I started in 2017 and went for my first baby, I had to buy all the necessities for the baby in a hurry and it was very demanding. The opening of the warehouse in Horomeřice helped a lot of foster parents, Mrs. Katka was always very willing and because the warehouse is small, she searched according to the requirements and always helped me and even drove to her house for things when they did not fit in the warehouse. Katka's whole family helps intensively and tries to meet all the requirements of the foster parents, we are very grateful for the help they provide us....

I thank the Hvězda warehouse for always being there for us. Even us temporary foster parents from the Pilsen region (there is nothing like that in our region) are happily coming back to such willing, kind and accommodating girls Kačka and Kačka. The warehouse is something that makes sense. The girls sacrifice their own time and a lot of energy to run at full throttle and especially for the children we receive day by day.
